About PartnPit
PartnPit is an early-stage UK project to make the cost of car repairs easier to understand.
Why we’re building it
When your car needs work, the quote you get usually combines parts and labour into one figure. It’s hard to tell what you’re paying for the components, what you’re paying for the mechanic’s time, or whether you could get the same job done for less.
PartnPit is being built so you can see those two costs separately: compare suitable parts from retailers, get quotes from local garages to fit them, and choose the combination that works for you.
What we believe
- Transparency. You should be able to see what a repair is made of.
- Choice. You decide where your parts come from and which garage does the work.
- Garages in control. Independent garages choose which jobs to quote for and what to charge.
- Honesty about limits. Prices and availability come from others and can change, and we’ll say so.
Where we are
PartnPit is at an early stage. We’re designing the service, talking to garages and retailers, and building the product. It isn’t live yet.
